Where it’s found: Primarily India, Brazil, Egypt, and Uruguay.
How it forms: A variety of Chalcedony (a type of Quartz). Its sunset colors come from iron oxide (rust) trapped inside the crystal structure.
Physical Properties: Like other quartz varieties, it’s a sturdy 7 on the Mohs Scale, making it perfect for everyday wear.

Shades: Ranges from pale orange to a deep, brownish-red.
